Generally, we divide solar power systems into 3 types: off-grid, on-grid, and hybrid. The functions of the three are not the same, and the components of the system are also different.

1. Off-Grid Solar Power System
The off-grid solar power system is a system that operates independently without relying on the grid. The electricity generated by the solar panel directly flows into the battery and is stored. When it is necessary to supply power to electrical appliances, the DC current in the battery is converted into 220V AC by the inverter. This is a repeated cycle of charging and discharging. 2. On-Grid Solar Power System
On-Grid Solar Power System means that it must be connected to the public grid. This power system must rely on the existing grid to operate. It is mainly composed of solar panels and inverters. The solar panels are directly converted into 220V AC by the inverter and power household appliances. When the power generated by solar energy exceeds the electricity used by household appliances, the excess electricity is sent to the public. And when the power generated by solar energy cannot meet the needs of household appliances, it will be automatically supplemented from the grid. And the whole process is intelligently controlled, with no need to be turned on or off manually.


3. Hybrid Solar Power System
Hybrid Solar Power System refers to a system that introduces one or several power generation methods into a photovoltaic system at the same time. Due to the limitations of solar system power generation, if the solar system is completely used to meet the load power demand, the capacity of storage batteries will increase a lot, and the cost requirements will also increase a lot. Therefore, in the hybrid solar power system, fuel generators or wind generators can also be added as backup power sources in addition to storage batteries. It is usually powered by the solar system, and it can also be powered by a diesel generator on winter or rainy days, so as to save investment.
